​We are recruiting for two experienced Sub Agents to support delivery of a major microtunnelling and utilities infrastructure project in Liverpool. This long-term freelance opportunity is ideal for those with a strong background in trenchless works, shaft construction, or pipeline delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily site activities across microtunnelling operations including shaft construction and TBM launch/reception

• Manage site teams, engineers, and subcontractors to deliver against programme, quality, and safety targets

• Ensure works are carried out in line with approved designs, RAMS, and technical specifications

• Interface with client, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and coordination

• Support the preparation and review of work package plans, ITPs, and quality documentation

• Lead and coordinate HSE compliance across site activities

• Provide mentoring and guidance to site engineers and supervisors

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a Sub Agent role on major civils or tunnelling schemes

• Strong understanding of microtunnelling or trenchless technologies is essential

• SMSTS, CSCS (gold/black), and first aid preferred

• Strong planning, communication, and team leadership skills

• Able to manage multiple interfaces and coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
