​Electrical Project Manager – Commercial Project

About the role 

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to take full responsibility for the delivery of electrical works on a commercial construction project. This role involves managing the project from pre-construction through to final handover, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Electrical Project Manager Key Responsibilities

• Manage the electrical package from design coordination to commissioning and handover

• Plan, programme, and oversee site activities to meet project milestones

• Coordinate with main contractors, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers

• Manage electrical supervisors and site teams

• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures

• Control budgets, variations, and cost reporting

• Procure materials and subcontract packages

• Review drawings, specifications, and technical submissions

• Attend progress meetings and provide regular project reports

• Oversee quality control, testing, commissioning, and snagging

Electrical Project Manager Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager on commercial projects

• Strong technical knowledge of commercial electrical installations

• Excellent understanding of current regulations (BS 7671)

• SMSTS (preferred)

• ECS / CSCS card or relevant qualifications

• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
