Job description

We are seeking an experienced MEP Building Services Manager / Project Manager (Electrical Bias) to join a major heavy commercial project. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the electrical and wider MEP delivery from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.

You will coordinate subcontractors, manage programme and quality, ensure compliance with technical and safety standards, and act as the primary interface between client, consultants, and site teams for all building services elements.

Electrical Building Services Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage MEP (electrical-led) packages on a heavy commercial scheme

  • Oversee installation, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems

  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and public health services to ensure programme alignment

  • Manage subcontractors, technical submittals, RFIs, and design coordination

  • Ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and statutory regulations

  • Monitor progress against programme and report to senior stakeholders

  • Support commercial team with valuations, variations, and cost control

  • Maintain high standards of H&S and quality on site

Electrical Building Services Requirements

  • Strong background in Electrical Building Services

  • Proven experience as an MEP BSM or MEP PM on heavy commercial projects

  • Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong understanding of commissioning and handover processes

  • Ability to manage programme and drive delivery

Security & Compliance

  • BPSS Clearance (Enhanced Level 1) – Essential

  • Client will sponsor and manage SC Clearance

  • Successful candidate will be enrolled on an Authorised Person (AP) course
